Pilanesberg Camping weekend

What a jol!!!

The Pilanesberg weekend was attended by Mike, Jurie and Noddy, Dirk and Sandy and Rene. Guests were Gaffie, and Stef and Amy, with the kids being Tristan and Caitlyn.

Gaffie and I arrived first and got two sites that had good drainage and that were mostly grassed. The rain came and went the whole weekend, yet with three gazebos up we all stayed dry. At around 8pm everyone else arrived, having driven through in convoy. By that time the fire was well burning and the weekend festivities soon started.

The next day was spent in total leisure, just chilling, swimming and laying around talking kark. At 3pm we all went for a game drive and what a game drive it was. Not long after the cars got split up. Gaffie got to tow Amy's Golf back to camp after it bottomed out whilst driving through a drainage dip and put a hole in the sump. Whilst this sport took place Dirk, Sandy, Jurie, Noddy and the kids watched Cheetas on a kill. We all saw loads of other game as well.

Sunday morning came all too soon and I had to leave at sparrows fart to fetch Estelle from OR Tambo airport. The rest leisurely got up, packed up and left at around 10am.
